Weight Management, Nutrition & Fitness

 

The GenerationsHP model provides members with fitness, nutrition and weight loss opportunities that guide and encourage a healthy commitment to lifestyle change. These programs are worksite and community based. They are offered at multiple sites throughout the work site(s) coordinated and/or instructed by an in-house Wellness/Fitness Specialist.

Various worksite wellness programs can be scheduled at the worksites. Topics vary from Stress Management to Weight Loss or other topic(s) of interest.


Weight Loss Programs


These programs are all designed to provide guidance to members wanting to make lifestyle changes for weight loss.            

Weight Reduction Program (WellBucks may be earned)

  • A 12-month self-monitored weight reduction program
  • Must have a BMI > 25 to be eligible for WellBucks
  • Must meet with a Registered Dietician or Wellness Advocate at least twice in the 12 months (Weight Watchers, Lighten Up Weight Management Program, Wellness Specialist Consultation or Six Week Weight Loss Classes are accepted in lieu of the Dietician visits).
  • Must reach and maintain the goal weight by the end of the 12th month

Lighten Up Weight Management

  • This is a weight loss program offered at the worksite usually during lunchtime.  It includes a consultation with a Registered Dietician and then 12 weeks of Exercise and Nutrition Information.
  • It is taught by one of the Network Registered Dieticians as well as the Wellness/Fitness Specialist.

Six Week Weight Loss Class

  • This is a program offered at the worksite usually during lunchtime.
  • It includes a consultation with a Registered Dietician and then 6 weeks of Nutrition Information focusing on Weight Loss.
  • WellBucks for successful outcome may be available.  


Exercise Programs


These programs are all designed to provide guidance to members wanting to make lifestyle changes around exercise.           

Exercise Management Program (WellBucks may be earned)

  • A 12 –month self-monitored exercise program 

Exercise Basics Program (WellBucks may be earned)

  • This program focuses on introducing members to different types of exercise through Group Fitness and Small Group Training Sessions.
  • Primarily designed for inactive individuals, and beginner to intermediate level exercisers
  • Program is offered at various fitness facilities in the community. 
  • Can include Water, Boxing or Exercise Basics

Nutrition


Nutrition Support is incorporated into all of the GenerationsHP programming for a comprehensive approach.           

Registered Dietician Support

  • Dietician support helps members with many types of nutritional needs.
  • Lose Weight ~ Reduce Waist Size ~ Less Use of Medications ~ Improved Quality of Life
